This workshop is an introduction to positive gender inclusivity within arts organisations. We will discuss best practice, and provide a space for relaxed and open discussion.  We provide skilled, nuanced and informed training which will enable your organisation to enact sensitive and inclusive change. The outcome of this workshop will be a tangible toolkit for venues and organisations to use when actioning gender inclusivity.

We know that conversation around gender and identity is fast moving, politically charged and ever-changing and our training ensures your organisation stays up-to-date with dialogue, policy and language. Giving you the language and tools to communicate effectively, both as an organisation and with your patrons, Gender Smart will give you and your team adequate knowledge and understanding to help you better support staff members, audiences and artists.

• Working with artists
• Making your spaces welcoming for all.

Who is it for: Anyone working in the arts, but it will be directed at those working within venues or for organisations. You may be a furloughed staff member, or a freelancer who works regularly within organisations. Come on your own or with a few from your team. We also run in-house training which you can book for your organisation.

• Terminology and legislation 
• Bespoke discussion about your organisations, including audience & staff facing facilities such as toilets, booking systems, mail outs etc.
